The Trent Centre for Community Based Education (TCCBE) is seeking a Projects Coordinator (28hrs/week). Facilitating multi-stakeholder projects with the TCCBE requires a strong degree of community development and post-secondary academic-related expertise, energy and commitment.
To be successful, candidates will normally have a background in the following: community development, experiential learning, applied research, community-based research and community service-learning. Experience teaching, tutoring or similar education-related experience would be considered an asset, as would an interest in lifelong learning. Familiarity with communities in the City and County of Peterborough and with nearby south-central Ontario communities are a definite asset. Knowledge of the academic and administrative contexts of Trent University and area Community Colleges is desirable. A valid Ontario G Drivers License is essential.

As an independently incorporated charitable organization, the TCCBE pays a competitive salary and offers a benefits package to employees working over 20 hours/week.
This is a one-year contract position @ 28 hours/week – subject to renewal with additional funding.
Contract term: August 7, 2012 to May 31, 2013
Level seven salary range: $38,691 to $46,429 (annual; full time)
Placement on the salary range is commensurate with experience.
