Knowledge in Action: A Forum about Research in our Local Community
On March 19, the Trent Centre for Community-Based Education (TCCBE) invited the community to attend our 4th annual Knowledge in Action Forum. The event was free and open to the public - bringing together student researchers, community organizations, academic supervisors and interested citizens. This event showcased over 30 community-based research projects conducted
by Trent University students this year in Peterborough city and county in
partnership with These projects provided topical insight into our community around a number of compelling themes:
The event also featured project posters from the Community
Service-Learning Program (civic engagement projects with first-year students
and local organizations) and the Strategic Research Initiative (projects involving faculty researchers). Event Highlights • 1:00 to 1:05pm: Welcome and Opening Remarks • 1:05 to 1:30pm: Keynote address: “Planning For Our
