Community Research Network - A project of Loka, the Community Research Network is a trans-national network of organizations involved in community-based research.

Living Knowledge: The International Science Shop Network (ISSNET) - A network and resource for science shops and community-based research centres around the world. ISSNET consists of 13 organizations in 9 countries and seeks to strengthen links and communication between citizen groups, social groups, and research institutions.

The International Society for Third-Sector Research (ISTR) - Promotes research and education in civil society, philanthropy, and the non-profit sector. The website includes links to a number of similar organizations.

Canadian Policy Research Network - A non-profit organization comprised of four research networks focusing on a variety of research themes relating to economic and social policy.

Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) - An arms-length organization that supports university-based social sciences and humanities research and training.

The Community-Based Research Network of Ottawa (CBRNO) - Supports and aids the development community-based research in the Ottawa area, in order to benefit the community and improve the quality of life in Ottawa.

Community-University Connections at the University of Victoria explores the use of science in environmental and social policy, and facilitates collaborative research and information exchange between community organizations and university-based researchers.

The Center for Urban Research & Learning (CURL) - A research center promoting equal partnerships between Loyola University Chicago and local communities. CURL is a member of ISSNET.

Progressive Research Portal - Provides a resource and venue for interaction and collaboration between social activists and academics. Sponsored by the CAW-Sam Ginden Chair in Social Justice at Ryerson University.

Wellesley Central- Promoting Urban Health - Promotes and facilitates partnerships between communities and research institutions for the purposes of urban health research. Wellesley Central provides CBR workshops, seminars, and funding for urban health research initiatives.

Sustainable Toronto - An organization committed to facilitating the development of Toronto as a sustainable community, encouraging a new way of thinking that emphasizes co-operation among and across different sectors of the community, rather than competition.

University of Toronto Environmental Resource Network (UTERN) - Provides funding for student-run environmental projects and seeks to improve awareness of and behaviour surrounding environmental issues in the Toronto area. The website also provides information on environmental activities at the university.
